Waiting Patiently....

Its not long...be patient.

It is 2 down, 6 to go. The next paper will be this Friday and it is business 3. Well, that means 5 to go. I have Law 1 next week, and the final week of HELL!! where I 4 papers in a span of 3 days. I really need to get through that last one well.

I really miss hanging out with my friends from college, due to everyone studying. However, I'm looking forward to the end of the exams where its back to normal. Lepak-ing, bouldering with the college gang and many many more. Like... Being able to hang out with her again :)

I've been a WoW addict recently, levelling really fast and the good news is that more are coming as well. I'm waiting for them, so that we could begin as the team that can raid well. I also love the PvP system and is prepared to play in the arena once I'm high enough.

Till the next one. Study time :) patience patience patience
PS: To you... Its gonna be over soon. Miss you..

Why DotA's time is over on Garena?

Why no more DotA?

I recently watched my bro play DotA on Garena with his friend. Guess what out of 4 games he only won 1. And 2 of those 4 games, his friend left the game due to.... Maphackers. Yes! You have your answer right here. Maphackers.

These bunch of people have been dominating Garena for already almost a year. It has now become even more common to see this buggers who can see the whole map everyday in every game on Garena. What more, they are playing it so obvious that you do not have the mood to play the game anymore. My bro even quote saying that " DotA is now a game of may the best Maphacker wins".

Also, DotA is filled with young new players playing as the veterans will mostly play in the middle of the night. This wastes your time as you have to teach this young players to play while managing your own. And each time they die, its really a pain in the butt.

Another reason is DotA eats up a minimum of 20 minutes and at times 1 hour away from your life. This time can be taken to do something more beneficial. This was the big reason why I stopped playing. If I count the time, I think I have easily wasted a year and half playing DotA over the past 4 years playing it.

Admitted for...

'You have to be admitted' - Doctor

Most of you should have known due to the sms I sent out, people e-mailing about my condition and even on facebook. I was admitted to hospital for a lung infection ( more specific, Pneumonia). The cause of it, I believe, was my fault. I missed half a day of antibiotic when I was diagnosed with normal viral infection on the 28th of April. Not only that, I played basketball right after I healed.

I was in the hospital for 4 days.. Monday night till Friday afternoon. It was so boring lying on the bed in the room, and lonely, cause I was alone too until anyone visits me. I did several test, X-ray, blood, phlegm and CT scan. I had to stay 4 days just to ensure that it wasn't TB. Medication was given 3 times a day, which was only cough syrup and panadol. The craziest of all was my antibiotic, which is injected through my drip tube every morning at 5 CRAZY am. Half asleep they will wake me and give me antibiotic. Then they will also do round checks or my blood pressure and temperature.

Another surprising thing is that their nurses are as young as me. I saw their IC number on their tags and most of them were either 91 or 90 on their first number, meaning their birth year. oooo....

Anyway, I'm home for exam, and that is a good thing. So I have to go back to study... Ciaoz

The end of one point, and the beginning of another

Its another turning point in life

This will probably be the final point of the crossroads in life. I have already decided on which university to go, what I need to get in and what I have to do for my own future.

College ended on the 7th of May 2010, an end of another period of my life. A step into the world after teen. Its almost similar to when I graduated from primary school at the age of 12 and moved into Secondary School. Then another period ended when I was when I was 17, I was stepping into college, and now... College is over.

Its another 3 weeks to exams, last A levels exam and its the beginning of university. I've made my mind that I will be going to UK for one year. This is so that I can experience something different, culture as well.

I'm gonna miss the great people that I've met in college. The life in college as well, gatherings, lunch, movies and some dumb stuff we do and not forgetting volleyball and basketball ( wait foosball too)

Crazy hoops!!

In he goes for the point.. *chop*

I've been crazy about basketball lately. Been playing on the college court, shooting hoops rather than really playing the game itself. Helped me improve on my shooting really. Great game, basketball.

I started learning how to play basketball (bball) at the age of 13 after I failed tryouts. I practice shooting at my home no entry sign and got better overtime. Then I played at Section 5's court on Fridays with my classmate and all. I however stopped at the age of 15, when I shifted to MBS. And I returned to it, just.... last year.

It is a great sport where I don't have to pay for rental as the court is free for everyone to play. Just one problem with the court is the board problem. Its badly damaged. The wood is all chipped off thanks to the rain.

To me, I really love the position of small forward cause you will play like Lebron James or Carmello Anthony. Its really cool. Going for drives and laying the ball up into the basket, its cool. However, I can shoot better now, and by my size, I don't really qualify myself as a Small forward. I'm more of a Shooting Guard ( Kobe Bryant and Dwayne Wade).

Its the sport that keeps me going fit and healthy, but makes me sweaty (according to my dearest one). Anyway, thats all, I need sleep, I'm exhausted.

The FINAL countdown

Its starting....

Sigh! I cannot stop thinking that exams are so near and the friends who I met throughout the past year and a half ( sorta) are gonna go away. Its been a great year and a half for me. Being able to come to college exposed me to many types of people: The funny, the cute, the pretty, the lovely, the jerks etc etc. This is just gonna go away so so soon.

I also finally learn how different A-Levels examination is compared to our local SPM or PMR which is utter RUBBISH!! Seriously, Malaysia needs harder exams. Note making, self study, discipline is the key if you want to succeed in A-Levels, especially if you are an Arts student ( like me)

Life's change since I started college. Being able to go out alone, doing what college kids do, stop some unimportant things in life, find someone that you really like, being able to think and grow was what happened. Oh well, time flies.

And I'm sick again. So I gotta go.

Unwell....

I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell - Matchbox 20

I've recently caught a cold, thank God that its not the deadly H1N1! I'm still having some of the symptoms like sore throat. Its hurting!! ARGH!!!

And exam just passed, thank goodness its done. The big exam is just round the corner though. Wishing it gets over real quick and phew.... rest before Uni.

I hurt my back as well after basketball on monday. Stiff muscle, and its curing, I feel better and should be available for ball this sunday. Finally!!

Have not been mixing recently, now I'm wondering which would be better to play with? The camera or the turntables?? Hmmm...

I'm tired... of writing

Imagine, 4 hours of pure writing with no rest!

That was what happened yesterday, and the story of me being off from blogging a while. Trials are on this week. For some reason, the timetable was really sucky. I had one and half hours of economics followed by Law 2, two hours later. Yesterday was the killer, it was Law 1 for 3 hours, 1 hour break, then 1 and a half hours of Business Studies. I was aching in the exam hall for my final paper. Crap! I can't write anymore.

Anyways, exam is considered end for me tomorrow. This is because there is only Moral Studies on Monday. All activities will resume as usual till May. May is the actual exam, since I'm retaking papers. This is the final shot, gotta do well for it, then its UNIVERSITY!!!

Besides that, I've done my first DJ mix a few days back. I'll upload it if you wanna give it a listen. Till the next!

Let's Hear the BEAT!

Its all about beats, techno and MUSIC!

A great way to kill time other than taking photos and most definitely computer games. Its called, Mixing or to some of you all, DJ-ing.

I discovered this time killer when I remembered about the book called DJ-ing for Dummies, and decided that I should give it a try. Searching the web for a DJ software, I stumbled upon this software called Virtual DJ.

As above, that will be my equipment. My songs are all in MP3 format. So, what's provided in the software? It has samplers, funny sounds you can use such as Air Raid Sirens, Saxophones and some cheers. It also gives you effects like backscratch, beatgrid and flanger. This software also counts for you the BPM for the song, and at the press of the sync button, the 2 songs beat are match.

Well, after learning to mix, I have learn how to count beats and beatmatch (BPM). Something most drummers would be similar with. I also know that each section of a song have 8 bars ( how many of you know that?) Also I know to synchronize songs properly, creating a good transition from one song to another without spoiling the mood of the crowd. Adding samplers and effects is another skill altogether. My disc scratching isn't perfect yet though. Still suck at it.

The songs used for mixing are not normal chart songs you hear on the radio. We have specific genre of music of which we can mix. My favourite personally is Electro/House as its slower, catchy and more fun to mix. There are other genres like Hip-Hop, R&B, Trance and Techno.

The bad thing bout this software is that, you control only with your mouse and lack the feel of what a real DJ has. However, it is good practice for people who can't afford turntables, mixers and vinyls ( records, those black ones). Its a good way to learn the basics from here, then move on and invest when we have the money for the real set.

After, several hours of practice, I still am not confident to record a mix yet. But hopefully I will one day.

If it keeps on going.....

You're going down down down

1 British pound = 4.88986683 Malaysian ringgits

And its getting even lower as day goes by. Not really sure what is going on in the UK, but I think it has to be their financial crisis and the amount of debt to owe for imports.

Looks like UK is a clear green light if their currency continue to be as so. Cheaper than Australia wee hee.

Why This??

Too many supply!!

Most of you know that I will be reading law after graduating from my A levels. Well, one question keeps running through my mind. Its not about the difficulty of the course nor which college I will be going to. The question: Why is law so high in demand??

I was in the train the other day with Lee Kah Yun. We were talking about medicine. Surprisingly there are many people nowadays who wants to pursue a degree in medicine. But seriously, it ain't easy. But ironically, this people don't seen to know how tough or how is the life of a doctor? Graduating at 38 if you wanna earn big?? Madness.

This applies to law as well. I just can't see why lots of people wanna do it. Its tough, it requires decent english and lots of reading and researching. Probably cuz its the easiest high pay career course that is easy to get in. That's cause, you only need 2 passes or 2E in A-levels. Sigh!! Quality this days. Anyway, I gotta prepare for the hard journey through law.

Moderate day...

Dig, set and SPIKE!

The bad shall come first. Its a dumb day. First, I rarely spend time with my dear one today. Lotsa stuff came up. I can't follow her home due to worship practice. Then she got stuck in the train, due to some error with the LRT. That left me in college till 6.30 pm. Damn... sad day

However, I managed to play volleyball today after a long long time. I'm happy cuz I manage to knick 5 points and that let us to a win :) ( team consisted of Justin, Ern Wei, Sze Ling, Andrew, Me and Jason). Playing in the rain was also fun.. but ugh, damn wet and slippery.

Short post today, real sorry. No mood to write :)

Do or die Red

Rivals forever!

I just hate this time of the season, the big rivalry between the 2 Reds, the Devils and the Reds (Man Utd v Liverpool). Its 3 winning streak for Liverpool, and 3 down for the Devils, will it change tonight?

With the form of Wayne Rooney, all of Liverpool's defence will go out on him. But, the Reds had gotten stronger over the past few weeks, but with a game on monday, and a mid week game, the Reds may be tired.

Game on tonight, 9.30 pm. May the fittest wins!

I wonder and wonder and wonder

Its just another crossroad.

Its the time of the year again where decisions must be made. Oh well, this time, its gonna be super tough.

Choosing universities is never as easy as I thought. I had actually made my plans but due to financial reasons, things change. I may not be able to go to UK. Prices are over the hills. Taylor's cost 120k for 3 years excluding cost of living. HELP twinning cost 100k including cost of living. However, due to loans being available, I might have a shot at it.

That is not a decision for me to make, as finance is an issue that my parents have to weigh. But I have this huge decision to make on which it also affects my parents, but also affects me. To choose between Brickfields Asia or HELP university. Both have the twinning programs I want, but both have different standards of education. BAC is famous for law, but giving already printed notes, I feel like I do not have to write extra notes. Imagine this, if I give you my notes for Economics for all units, will you want to do your own notes, even if I miss something out? Maybe not.

I was always looking forward to the day where I depend on myself to study. Lecturers are only there to explain how we answer questions, what we must study and giving tutorials and assignments. I do not want to be spoon fed. But my dad seems to look at the written notes as an advantage. Another difference would be the campus. In BAC, I'm studying in the top floor of shops. Whereas in HELP, I'm in a campus. Plus the facilities are different and there are more societies to join in HELP.

Sigh... all I look to now is you Lord. Do help and guide me. I'm at the crossroads yet again. And only You can guide me.

World of Warcraft Comic Issue 1-14

The Story of Azeroth has its twist.

I actually finished reading this comic, but since my blog was dead I practically did not wanna talk about it. But since I'm back, here goes.

The World of Warcraft comic caught my eye ever since I read about its existence. Being a Warcraft fan and playing both the RTS and the MMORPG, I decided to take a look at the story behind this comic. Practically its the story of the King of Stormwind, who was kidnapped and has lost all of his memory. Being found on the shores of Kalimdor, far away from home, the King finds himself as a gladiator battling out in tournaments which results in death. As the story progresses, the King tries to find his past and to find who he really his. His journey takes him all over the land of Azeroth, where he fights many monsters, and even go on dangerous quest.

The comic is practically a video game itself, making you feel that you are the King, traveling around the world just to find who you are. Fans of any Warcraft game would find this comic interesting. However, I only covered 14 issues as this is the story of the King. Issue 14 to 25, talks of another story ( which I will cover in my later posts). If you are a fan of magic, medieval ages, dragons and sword fighting, I would definitely recommend this comic to you. For general readers, its readable, and I think you would definitely enjoy it as well.

Overall: A good comic to read, very well placed story line and suspense at the end of every issue keeps wanting you to read more more more.

Gorillaz - Plastic Beach Review

The animation returns

Its Gorillaz 3rd Album. And its hell been long since thei final album, Demon Days. However here is the review of their latest album.

Their music has changed totally since the Demon Day's album. In their previous album, I remember loving the bass of Murdoc going to the song of Feel Good Inc or the song White Light. This new album however, has brought in the synthesizer and samplers. The bass of Murdoc has practically fade to the back. All you here is sample drum beats, which doesn't even sound like Russel's. However, the song of Superfast Jellyfish has good bass and drums. But the others, the bass is at the back and drums are samples.

Not only did the instruments change, the music style did as well. Demon days had some really cool rock type hip hop songs. Some of which you can pop to it. However, this album has changed from hip hop pop to hip hop jazz. Most song sounds jazzy, and there are lots or featured rappers rapping the whole song. It wasn't like Demon Day's where it was 2D who was taking the lead most of the time. The music also sounds a little like 60's music, going back old school. However, thank God for 2D being able to have that blur low voice in certain songs.

Overall, I would say, don't get the album. Its not really worth it as I feel that other artistes album is worth more than this. If you are a Gorillaz fan and want it to be in your collection, then go ahead, or without, NO!

My blog's back.

Revived. After a long break

Its been like 5 months since I last blogged about anything. Well, today is a fresh start again for me. I'm looking for something to do online as I'm trying to resist playing computer games on my computer now. I've decided to take up photography, since Dad has a DSLR Cam. Its fun trying new stuff. Also, I'll be review-ing some comics I've read ( no Manga, I'm anti them) and musics. So hope this time round, the blog just don't die off. Till the next post. Ciaoz
